How do I create something with this?

I've installed this plugin into Monodevelop, but I can't find any tutorials or samples specific to using it in Monodevelop. I've looked through all the basics of programming in Lua. I can run a script from the command line, but trying to us this Garys Mod from inside Monodevelop is a failure for me. Help.
