Overlay attribute doesn't see removal?

According to the docs, removing the overlay attribute from the config file should show no description when hovering under the associated column in Anki. However, I've tried this, and the column just displays the default description - the one shown by "overlay: null".

The alternate method of using overlay: false works, but could you update the docs or provide a patch to avoid confusion?

I wanted to turn off the descriptions to be present. All overlay options set to false. At bars, there are balloons with numbers anyway. (eg.: "5:False").
