Avirecorder Error! I need help!
So I get an error when i load tf2 through avirecorder. The error says, "Unable to apply user customizations: Cannot create a file when that file already exists." So then I click OK and it then says, "Unable to revert user custiomizations: Cannot create a file when the file already exists." Does this have to do with me recently deleting and re installing tf2? HELP!
Hm looks like some file is read only, did you check whether any of files in cfg or in your hud are marked read-only? You dont need to check every file individually, just select them all and untick read-only. The files need to moved and the tool needs access to the files (so you must have permission to move files and the file must not be read-only)
wait, does it have to do with me accidentally deleting avi_recorder_startup, avi_recorder_stop, and so and so?
As long as it's gone it shouldn't be a problem. Do you have discord? We could attempt to resolve the problem through that. I could be any file, it's hard to tell otherwise.
i fixed that problem, so i can run tf2 through avirecorder, i now realize i have all the avirecorder execs, but another problem is that i cant find the right location for my tgas folder, ive tried everywhere including my tf folder, the console always says "invalid path"
Did you try a path that has no spaces in it? or could you check the scripts that are written what paths it tries to access?
ive tried everything, tried my tf folder, my c drive, documents, downloads, desktop, ive tried re installing it, ive tried doing anything i can, ive asked proffesional editors like crocket, nick, and uil, and they dont know how to fix it, ive been trouble shooting for days and nothing is working, ive lost hope, i have to have a video done soon and i cant get it done, i really need help
