Doesn't WORK!
I have tried every way i can think of and these mods just don't work! They have not worked in a very long time! last time i could play using these files was version 1.21 after that game loads and fails! very disappointed as i'm forced to play on multi player servers with cheaters. This used to be one of the best mods ever made for DayZ now it just takes up space never able to get it to work. Anyone else have this issue? If you got it to work what did you do?? Please? let me know thanks!
Step-by-step instructions:
Locate your game installation folder, which should be:
C:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DayZ\
Inside that folder, find the missions folder.
Place the entire offline mission folder (DayZCommunityOfflineMode.ChernarusPlus) into the missions folder.
After copying, the full path to your offline mission should look like:
C:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DayZ\missions\DayZCommunityOfflineMode.ChernarusPlus\
To start the mission, double-click the file named:
DayZCommunityOfflineMode.bat
This will launch the offline mission in DayZ.
Folder structure:
C:\Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DayZ\
└── missions\
└── DayZCommunityOfflineMode.ChernarusPlus\
├── DayZCommunityOfflineMode.bat
└── other_mission_files...
I tried that it didn't work but when i started a game on official server and then i hit the play offline it worked for a few min before everything crashed shut. I wonder if i try to host my own game so i'm not going online at all if that would work? i think i need to install a program so i can try to start DayZ on my PC. Im not sure how to do that. Your info above a huge help!!! Before your help it was years before i got it to work no one explained like you did so THANK YOU!!!!
You shouldn't be running the Dayz server! The server is for multiplayer and or game saves and nothing to do with the offline mode mission!
It will not run inside the server! Dont open the game launcher! < You can load the mission this way (YouTubers do it) but its not necessary!!!
Just run the batch file inside the folder, it will load Chernarus and some equipment.
OK - So do not run the server and do not use the game-loader!
If your wanting to load mods also, then you will need to modify batch file. Add them in a specific order.
