Feature Request - expand Identifiers View / Download options (or create a new View/ Download for this purpose)

Open mkoo opened this issue 10 months ago • 3 comments

Currently we have https://arctos.database.museum/Reports/identifier_download.cfm Firefox_Screenshot_2024-04-25T22-07-15 472Z

Users interested in biotic relationships (after discussing with @campmlc) require having scientific name for the target GUID AND the related GUID. We'd like a expanded table or download option that would include the identification (scientific_name) of the primary GUID, the specific relationship (host of, etc) and the scientific name of the related record. A CSV option seems the easiest to provide but let us know @dustymc

For example, the minimum fields needed in a flattened csv would be: GUID, Scientific_Name, higher geography and locality date fields id_references (ie the relationship) other_id (as a guid would be nice!) Scientific_Name of the other_id Link_value of other_id

@campmlc can confirm or tweak but these were the minimal fields we talked about. This too is TPT grant related so critical priority. (see https://github.com/ArctosDB/arctos/issues/7725)

Unclear how this relates to https://github.com/ArctosDB/arctos/issues/7759

#7759 deals with the view of identifiers from a single catalog record page. This current request is to add fields to the Search Results => Tools->View and Download -> Identifiers results so that we can view and download more information on related records and their taxonomic identifications.

Just checking what is needed to make this actionable? We need to complete a grant report on how funding provided to Arctos is making host parasite relationships discoverable.

I think this is done, please reopen with specific examples and data position requests if something's still missing.
