GGBN - UWYMV Upload Request

@dbloom @dustymc @Jegelewicz The UWYMV is ready to start uploading data from our bird collection (UWYMV:Bird) to GGBN please.

I've worked with Gabi Droege, and added the UWYMV meta data to the GGBN Registry as an institution, and I think I have also added the UWYMV Bird Collection as a collection.

Gabi provided the following info for the steps so we have a record of them for future Arctos collections:

Please go to https://registry.ggbn.org/

Username: [Make sure you contact the GGBN Secretariat at [email protected] to let them know you are ready to add your data. They will give you a user name and password.]

Password:

Then go to “Add records” https://registry.ggbn.org/add.php

Please add your institution under “New institution …” After that please add “New collection …” for your biobank

Example entries for MSB: https://registry.ggbn.org/organisation_detail.php?id=45 and https://registry.ggbn.org/collection_detail.php?id=36

The next step is to work through the VertNet IPT to get our data over I think. Gabi's instructions were:

Regarding the technical aspect the other Arctos members provide data to GGBN by using the Vertnet IPT. John Wieczorek kindly did set up a pipeline for this purpose; see http://ipt.vertnet.org:8080/ipt/?search=GGBN for a list of all Arctos resources for GGBN. The easiest would be to talk to David Bloom. However, currently there seems to be a problem with the GGBN resource that he couldn’t fix until now. But he will know best how to proceed.
