Chloromethane is disabled, but required for two recipes
In special vanilla, the recipe gas-chlor-methane
is disabled and hidden but the recipes paste-cellulose
and liquid-toluene-from-benzene
require gas-chlor-methane
as input.

Can I get clarification on the chains here... since this could go either way.
is liquid_toluene
(was only for explosives in full) or paste-cellulose
(higher tier paper?) currently used for anything in special_vanilla
and those 2 recipes need hiding, or do we need to go the other way and stop that recipe from being hidden/use an alternative variant of the recipe?
paste-cellulose
is required for inoculated petri-dishes to make crystal seeds and crystal enhancers (for biters) as well as egg-shell seeds (for crystal shards). It's not my place to decide if the entire biter chain shall be removed from Special Vanilla.
liquid_toluene
is indeed only used for the third explosives recipe. That one might not be required to keep in Special Vanilla.
bio processing related
When animals are disabled, then the primary use of farming is also removed... that leaves only tree generation and algae farming remaining... Hence I would argue that biters (and thus farming) are a vital part of bio, similarly smelting still imposes the metallurgy chain and petrochem the sulfur and oil loops...
I recall cellulose paste changing chlorine-related liquids, thus the gas-chlor-methane
should be re-enabled (first figure out what it all depends on) as this is mostly a bug...
We could always make cellulose paste easier (cellulose fiber + nutrient pulp?) and leave the chlorine disabled, as I recall, paper has no use in special vanilla and should be disabled (I vote that we should convert paper and paper-related ingredients to a trigger?) --> see #359
petrochem related

, it is somewhat overkill... Definitely not required in that configuration. However, we should verify if there is a special vanilla configuration where bobs mods adds their explosive recipes?

Issue can be closed as completed. Chloromethane gas is now enabled in Special Vanilla.
