RE 1 2 SSD configuration

Open mikebrandt opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

HI, i'm trying to setup ringedge multi boot on my RE1 mobo .

Here is my conf:

  • original RS2 with pre packaged 32Go image plugged onto sata 1 port -1 SDD Bx500 120Go plugged onto sata 2 port

this pre packaged image is supposed to look into d:\games for games repos from what i see.

for me games are stored under games/xxxx/ on second SSD (ex: Games/Caladrius AC/game/game.bat) I locked 2nd SSD using ATA key :3250aa589242b259f273627b2273da4a2a223a2a0a221a2a6a026b6e5bce4b86 (Bx500 120G key)

So far it boots but comes with a games Partition not found on the selection screen ...

I'm not sure if my problem comes from my directory structure, leave the second drive unlocked or if i have to mess with bios to make the second SSD active.

what would be your suggestions?

When I set out to get a Multi onto my RE1, I got to the same point and was never able to get the games to show up. It sounded really neat on paper, being able to give new life to those "useless" RS2 & RS3 disks, but alas it was not to be. In the end what worked for me was to write the RE2 Multi image to one of those recommended SSDs and apply a patch to it, to make it work on a RE1.

EDIT: This is the patch you'll need https://archive.org/details/niko-multi-re-1-c-drive-patch

To copy the patch files onto the Niko RE2 Multi you'll need to open a command prompt and type in the following: xcopy source destination /h /i /c /k /e /r /y . Please don't just drag&drop the files since that won't work.
