Some way of determining if (and possibly what with) annihilation planes are enchanted.

Open Sea-Kerman opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Describe the feature

Some sort of indicator light or change in the texture to signify that the plane is enchanted, possibly special textures/cases for known enchantments like fortune and silk touch

Reasons why it should be considered

As of now, enchanted and unenchanted planes are indistinguishable in-world, which makes analyzing/debugging setups difficult.

Rendering the enchantment glint is actually quite complex on block models, I believe. Although I haven't explicitly checked.

Would adding it to the WTHIT/Jade tooltips be sufficient?

Perhaps something like this, changing colors and adding strips of color 2022-09-19_13 10 57 2022-09-19_13 11 05

Would adding it to the WTHIT/Jade tooltips be sufficient?

I could have sworn this was already done with the rest of the enchanting functionality.

It was, but #6599 so not really

Ideally different textures could be used so you can tell at a glance but from looking at the code it seems difficult to do
