Gamemode: Training

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. A training gamemode where players will be fighting against dummy titans instead of regular titans. This could be seen as an online tutorial.

Describe the solution you'd like A training gamemode where players can improve their skills by practice. Specifically meant for new players.

Proposal Team's feedback:

  • Training game mode looks to be a mix between racing and speed-killing

  • Points and rank should be based on how quickly the player was able to complete the course and how much damage they were able to do

    • Note that the rank should primarily based on the time it took the player to complete the course and this time could be cut down with the damage that the player was able to do
    • Example: Player completes the course in 2 minutes (120 seconds), they dealt a total of 2000 damages to the dummy titans, if 100 damage point = 1 sec subtracted from the final time, the rank the player would get would be for exactly 100 seconds
  • Depending on the complexity and the length of the course, the ranking system should definitely be adjusted

Mappers feedback (@dark3art):

Training = tutorial, skill improvement & testing zone (as the map is designed in this manner)

Tutorial: • Operating the 3dmg (how to fly with it, obstacle course to clear, perhaps a bullet dodge game where you learn how to use the 3dmg to dodge incoming objects flying towards you - reel in, reel out, gas burst, etc.) • Killing titans (dummy models, fly to them and strike them)

Skill Improvement: • Racing (get from one zone of the training ground to another) • Titan killing (kill all titan dummies as quickly as possible) • Instructor's teaching (can interact with an NPC to learn how to kill titans and try new techniques)

Testing zone (new features): • Horse riding (gallop, jump, etc. - through a racing method perhaps; run through this obstacle as quickly as possible) • Cannons (shoot targets as quickly as possible - since we got multiple ammo type, perhaps even swap ammo type depending on the situation from a singular round to a grapeshot) • Musket (target shooting, navigation etc.)
