A better finder/searcher more like hit_forker

It's not an issue just suggestion. Is it possible to get a searcher like hit forker that keeps a log of the hits it finds? It's hard to grab hits with an update rate less than 10. If so, this would be the best option out there.

Thanks for this suggestion @georgederr, I like this idea but since it'll be a big undertaking, it's not likely to come out until at least the next major version.
