This really needs testing, adding velocity + delta time can be very strange.

Strange use case, but if some of the strange extra lifetime bits are removed, it seems minimally invasive and potentially useful, so I'll add it myself.

Indeed. I don't want to use a service like that as default for everyone. 

A fix for anyone experiencing this: Run `xattr -d com.apple.quarantine DiscreteScroll.app` in the terminal. Works on MacOS 14.2 for me.

I think this should be a different marker. Points having two "modes" is very strange.
