Media Playback levels are low using OnlyM with Zoom
Folks,
This might not be unique with OnlyM but thought I'd post this to get some feedback or ideas.
Noticing that on some PCs the audio playback appears to be fine with the local speakers/output on the PC...but when sharing the screen in Zoom the volume levels are very low. This is with the 'Share Computer Sound' box selected.
Is there a way to manipulate the audio levels if using ffmpeg for the backend and perhaps pass the volume parameter through OnlyM?
Or can a person use Equalizer APO or another tool to increase the audio levels?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Check the Only M's volume on the Volume Mixer. On Windows 10, right-click the sound icon on the taskbar and click Open Volume Mixer. Hold down the volume slider on Only M to see what audio level it is at and confirm it's the same as your device speakers.
Share computer sound is always at 100%. You have to adjust the volume in the player, not windows.

Thanks for the info. We've tried this on a number of PCs and it seems to not impact the volume to Zoom for some reason; its still too low. But we did try installing Equalizer APO and increased the PreAmp/EQ setting and that is working.

I should clarify... that for some Brothers this is indeed the issue, the volume settings with the Windows Sound mixer. We tested today with a Realtek audio card/chipset and cranking up the Volume Mixer was indeed the issue and that was easily resolved. But we have a few others that the volume was still too low and we needed them to install Equalizer APO to bump up the gain. Maybe it's an audio driver/chipset issue?
Thanks.

Slightly off topic, but I strongly recommend sharing video through the native zoom player instead of screen sharing. The quality is noticeably better and it's impossible to mess up.
@jstevensen: technically you are absolutely right, but as soon as it comes to share more than one media there is a huge benefit using onlym.

Could you share how you used/setup Equalizer APO to overcome this issue? I am having the same audio volume issue on multiple different computers.
