Greeter's locale

Open Davidmp1 opened this issue 8 years ago • 5 comments

Hello, I reinstalled lightdm and lightdm-webkit2-greeter from scratch, now it works, but the greeter is only shown in English and not in the system-wide locale. Is there a way to configure it (manually)? Thanks,

Sorry for the delay. What is your system's locale set to?

It is set to ca_ES.utf8. I have translated it myself at Transifex. It is also specified in /etc/environment. Thanks for your dedication.

After the latest update, it is still only in English. I have seen the correct translation included in the installed version of /usr/share/lightdm-webkit/themes/antergos/js/translations.js but it seems the system doesn't use it. Does it depend on some other configuration? Thanks.

There is a bug in the theme regarding translations. It is fixed in the latest master code. I didn't include anything in the last update except for the fix for the password input field issue (didn't want to risk breaking anything since the master code contains a large amount of changes). The translation fix will be included in the upcoming 2.2 release.

If we are now at lightdm-webkit2-greeter 2.2.5-1, should I see the translated version? Is the translation fix already included? Do I have to apply any other change? Thanks.
