Open adrian-afl opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

Problem:

Windows loader not found during installation, but very easily fixable with redetection afterwards

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Have Win 10 x64 in UEFI mode
  2. Disable secureboot
  3. Install Antergos with manual partitioning to save windows
  4. No windows in bootmenu
  5. I pacman -S os-prober but it says its already installed and reinstalled it
  6. Grub-mkconfig again and windows is found and boots successfully

Log Files

  • unfortunately logs lost between reboots, but there were nothing special, just GRUB completed successfully

This is kind of a tough one to reproduce, I am not sure about @karasu or @lots0logs but I don't have any EFI hardware that has Windows on it.

I may poke around to see if I can get something going in VirtualBox since they appear to have support for EFI

I'm currently in the process of getting dual boot to work and waiting for the temporary packaging issues to disappear. Anything you want/need that maybe I could give you?
