Feature or improvement you want

A redesign of the player screen.

Why should this be added?

To enable displaying more functionalities (e.g. related to Podcasting 2.0) while keeping a clean interface.

Please make this an option as I like the play screen as is.

@justeepin I'm afraid we can't do that. It would mean maintaining two codebase with a developer-contributor community that's already spread thin. We hope, though, that you and everyone else will get used and accustomed to the new screen. And if not, there's always the option of not upgrading.
