Hi, I have exactly the same issue on the same phone, running the same Android version and downloaded the app the same way.
Similar problem here. Although continous playback works while my phone is unlocked. When its locked the queue doesnt start the next track. Similarly all features related to continuous playback are broken by that aswell. Smart "mark as played" won't do it's thing without next track selection. Also auto removal from queue and auto delete for downloaded and finished tracks won't work. I'm running LineageOS 21 (based on Android 14) on a Pocophone F1.
@4cti0nfi9ure and @Glint-Eye can you please share your AntennaPod version numbers? We are currently rolling out a new (beta) release so "downloaded the app the same way" doesn't guarantee you're on the same AntennaPod version. Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I delete the version form Play Store and moved to the one from F-Droid, which is 3.3.2 and works flawless.
installed the most recent update for lineageos 21 pocophone f1 today. all the aforementioned issues are fixed for me now.
Where did you get the update for lineageos 21 pocophone f1 from? What is your AntennaPod version now?

Official latest Poco F1 build https://download.lineageos.org/devices/beryllium/builds and Antennapod is 3.3.2 through F-Droid
I'm using 3.3.2 on Lineage 21 from F-Droid and can confirm continuous playback isn't working for me.

Hi! I can reproduce this most of the time by doing the following on a freshly installed AntennaPod 3.3.2, downloaded from the Play Store on a stock Android 14 ROM.
- Ensure that continuous playback is enabled in settings.
- Subscribe to two podcasts. Let's say Podcast A and Podcast B.
- Download one episode from Podcast A. Let's say Episode A1.
- Download one episode from Podcast B. Let's say Episode B1.
- Ensure that both episodes are in the queue, so that the queue is Episode A1 first, then Episode B1.
- Start playing Episode A1 in the queue.
- Download another episode from Podcast A or Podcast B. Let's say Episode A2.
- Move Episode A2 after Episode A1.
- Wait until Episode A1 finishes.
- Observe that Episode A2 is correctly selected as the next one in the queue, but playback doesn't start.
Maybe this issue is reproducible with one podcast only, but I didn't try.
Hopefully this is helpful!
I can confirm I had this problem until today when I updated to 3.4.0, now it works fine. I'm on Android VanillaIceCream build number AP31.240426.022
Updated to 3.4.0, still doesn't work for me.
I haven't seen the problem since the app was upgraded to 3.4.0.
Still same problem after deleting and reinstalling to newest version (3.4.0f)on F-droid
In 3.4.0 autoplay works in approximately 80% cases.
With "Prefer streaming" option enabled the automatic playback of the next episode on queue has never worked for me. Latest version of the app on Pixel 8 Pro.
Still same problem after deleting and reinstalling to newest version (3.4.0f)on F-droid
No more issues after system update👍

With "prefer streaming" on or off?
Whith prefer streaming off
Android 14, Pixel 6 on 3.4.1 and I'm seeing a similar issue. The next episode starts, but the audio stutters like a CD skipping until the app is closed and reopened. I've had this occur for a while, so likely a pre-existing bug.
