App version

3.1.1

Where did you get the app from

F-Droid

Problem you may be having, or feature you want

Currently when in the inbox and clicking on the download button for a podcast, it disappears immediately and "jumps" to the "Downloads" section.

But it is not downloaded yet.

Suggested solution

I think it would make way more sense to have it stay in the "Inbox" and then after finishing the download disappearing from there.

Alternatives: the notification also shows the progress.

Screenshots / Drawings / Technical details

This is just a small visual issue, the app is great and very stable!

I don't use the Inbox much, but I looked at your request and it makes sense what you are asking.

Even if we don't do exactly what you are asking, have a Toast message saying that the episode is being downloading and moved to the Downloads section would be helpful instead of just disappearing immediately would also help.

We had the toast messages before, I think, and removed them at some point

My request would be to have some sort of loading circle like around the "downloading" icon when you are viewing the episode details, and when finished moving it there.

But if reimplementing the toast message would be easier, why not?

I originally designed the list items in the Inbox not to have any action buttons, to put focus on the content and swipe actions. I still stand by that approach, in which case this issue becomes moot.

In current situation, I understand the request. However, it is also possible to swipe away an episode in order to download. I think whether you swipe or tap, the behaviour should be the same (disappear from list).

Showing a toast can be an intermediate solution indeed (only when tapping; swiping already gives visual confirmation).

Okay, you decide!
