Eddy kinetic energy of different types of eddies and its calculation

i would like to calculate the eddy kinetic energy of mesoscale eddies having different life span like ,eke of eddies having 60day life span and eddies having 70 like upto 120 days life span ,because i would likes to calculate the contribution of eke by the mesoscale eddies to the entire ocean
