Required bundle items option won't turn off

The option to show required bundle items doesn't show up in the in-game menu and even when I type 'false' into the config file it doesn't turn off. I'm playing the Joja route right now and it would be nice to not have to see the corresponding community centre bundle for an item every time I hover over it.
