Update doesn't update on linux

When choosing 'Click here to update' on linux, a web page opens and it says to restart to get the update, but upon restart no update has been applied.

Downloading a fresh copy of the application also does not seem to include the update.

Is there a specific method to update? Normally I'd use git, but given the official instructions only say to download a zip....

I also tried downloading via git and it's still prompting for an update, which also doesn't work. For posterity:

Click the update button in the "Settings" menu to download and install!

I'm going to chime in here as well. I am getting notices of a UVR_Patch_10_6_23_4_27 which there doesn't seem to be any way to install. Is there a specific update command that I can run to allow the update to take place?

This is on Ubuntu-Mate 22.04.3 LTS
