Does ios payload have to be ran on jailbroken device or is there a way around it

Can we normally install the payload as in android but a little different. Or can we do it through a third party app or. Do we need to jailbreak the iPhone to run the payload?

I would imagine you wouldn't have to jailbreak anything, this probably doesn't have support for the newer version of iOS
