The national ID of germany uses PACE, and the chip is password protected. the readPassport function falls back to BAC and then fails, any idea/support how it works?
The national ID of Germany uses PACE, and the chip is password protected. the readPassport function falls back to BAC and then fails, any idea/support how it works?
German IDs have different flow for scanning and officially it is allowed to scan it using government approved providers only. It is still ICAO compliant, however it will not allow you to pass. it has PIN, CAN, PUK codes to access data on chip and still it is not personal data (not sure 100%) of holder and these data should be provided by Back End of these certified providers.
