Android 15 wireless no root not working

I got this wireless dongle that was recommended for Fermata Auto https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNtdaGr

Fermata was one of the few things keeping me on root. I got this dongle thinking I could unroot and continue using Fermata Auto, but after unrooting and upgrading to Android 15 on a OnePlus 12R, Fermata Auto is still not showing up. I've tried accessing the local 192.168.1.101 address after connecting to the smartbox Wi-Fi network with the password of "12345678", but the page doesn't load, and I couldn't find any other devices when running a network scanner other than the phone itself and the gateway (192.168.5.1) and that IP address doesn't load any settings page.

I have enabled developer mode in Android Auto itself and enabled unknown sources.

Does anyone have any idea if there's anything I can do to get Fermata Auto working without getting root back. I like having Widevine L1 Netflix for high definition, so being unrooted is preferred (you lose L1 on OnePlus 12R when rooted, and no root cloaking apps, even ones that provide Strong integrity will help)
