usually, if user want to watch a 16:9 video in 21:9 aspect ratio, they have either make their own css, or download and view it in external player. i'm suggesting overlaying two black bar or an option to visually crop the video.

i tried different approach in mpv conf: vf=crop=w=iw:h=ih*0.7622:y=ih*0.1189 sub-ass-force-margins=yes sub-use-margins=no

vf means video filter w=iw means width is same as input width h=ih0.7622 means the video height y=ih0.1189 means the crop height

the other commands is for subtitle so that it stays at 16:9 and doesn't get distorted into the cropped area
