Trouble installing into correct directory

Hi, while following the installation guide, I was able to install v4.0.1 get to this step: command -v cncli However, instead of returning /usr/local/bin/cncli, it always returns $HOME/.cargo/bin/cncli. What would be the cause of this and how should I make sure that it's always installed in the correct directory? Thank you.
