Dolphiimote plugin not working and entirely breaking FreePIE

I hate to be making a post on this in 2025. I don't even know if it will be seen, but I might as well. Whenever I put any Dolphiimote.dll plugin I find in my plugins folder I suddenly cannot open FreePIE until I've deleted it from the folder. I'm able to get button inputs working for my wii remote to control games but without the plugin I don't think it's possible to control the mouse pointer with IR anymore. You've probably seen multiple complaints about FreePIE suddenly not being able to be opened anymore and only appearing in the task manager (which is happening to me, and the common fix is deleting the %AppData% FreePIE folder and redownloading. All I have to delete is the plugin dll, though.) I have tried example scripts, other people's scripts, and even countless scripts generated by chatgpt to try and get IR working but it always fails. I cannot get my Wiimote connected with Bluetooth, but I use a Mayflash Dolphinbarr that is wired (and yes, I do try on all four modes, primarily mode 4.) I also try the scripts without the plugin, which obviously just doesn't work as it is needed for IR. I'd love to see this issue fixed, and thank you for your time even reading this as I probably shouldn't even bother knowing how long it has been since this has been worked on.
