Long-press to move a window pane
Instead of having to go through their menu to move around an open window pane to another position, please consider to have the app achieve same by long-pressing on the open pane to drag it and drop it into its desired new position.
Thank you.
Long-pressing pane (text) is already bound to text selection context menu etc. So it can't be done that way.
Thank you. Are there perhaps any other actions available for you to consider that can be bound to the movement of panes?
I don't have any great ideas in my mind. Maybe similar UX that is used in study pads to move items up/down might be nice. Though not sure how difficult it is to implement.
what about long-pressing the top border that controls the size on press? You wouldn't be able to move the top pane down, but I wouldn't find that annoying. Or else, just allow the top pane to also have a top resizing border, and add some feature like opening a new pane when the top pane is dragged down (or snap back to the top if it's not dragged past a certain point, you know?)
Long pressing the window button might be an option too. That could move it into 'drag window' mode. At present it closes the window - I rarely use that feature.
