What happened?
YouTube has (frankly, unnecessarily) changed the HTML code for the "Watch10" layout for some users. This has caused the ratio bar to appear on the right side of the bar.
(NOTE: I have a CSS stylesheet applied here, however it does break without it, although I don't feel like showing that, you'll see why below)
How to reproduce/recreate?
- Open an incognito window, go to YouTube, click a random video.
- Is the bug there? If so, great! Replicated. If not, go back to step 1.
This bug is iffy to recreate because it relies on your YouTube "visitor data" being set to one that gives you the new update, which is completely random.
your firefox ESR is really old
Since "most" users have not received the new UI yet, would you accept a switch to turn off the ratio bar as a temporary solution?
only temporary also i know for a fact this is because they changed the html, i compared myself this isn't because i'm on an old browser
That's good to know. As soon as all/most of the currently open PR's are merged, I can continue and fix this. Otherwise, if anyone else would bother dealing with merge conflicts may go ahead and get it done.
or maybe add toggle to hide or unhide ratio bar
because i still on old design but after extension update, ratio bar missing
Hey, I've worked on the bar in this PR! Let me know if the issue still persists.
