After updating an extension, do not open Release Notes in a new tab after extension update.

Ways to implement this!

It is better not to open a new tab by default, but at least add the ability to disable this. If you really need to notify about changes, then simply add "New" to the extension's icon, so that when you click on the icon, the Release Notes tab opens (but should also be an option to turn it off).

Hello! This is an ongoing issue with many discussions. To name a few:

I like your idea that we can put a "new" badge in the extension icon. However due to the new chrome design, newly installed extensions have their icons hidden in the drop down list, and many users don't realize there's an icon/button for our extension (very very bad design decision on chromes side) so i doubt if this system will be effective.
