Brushing and Selecting are not in sync

Brushing and selection behavior are not in sync: While a click on a bar is toggeling the highlighting on and off, it only gets selected - not unselected when clicked again.

There is also an offset between the data rendered and what gets selected (the same inconsistency like what the tooltip shows, already mentioned in another issue).
