@thuryn, below you will find the icon on a circle shape and with different colors. Altogether, you will see some inner icons for the weather. Cheers.  

The colors are just draft of course, added using the default Android color palette. If you decide to go with this logo, I can do other iterations and improvements. PS....

Yes, a very good point, we will keep this in mind for a major redesign in the near future.
