String is sometimes hard to see and I would love to have this be included in the mod!

you can add Resource Packs to do this i don't think it's needed

I don't think this is worth including at least for the time being. The mod has a focus on making things seen that otherwise can't, and string can be seen. I'd recommend the Vanilla Tweaks resource pack as it has an option for this. https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/
