[Feature] Flag to enable/disable previews

Feature Description

In the latest (v4.1.8) release preview are disabled to reduce load on server (commit: 767573c) There's also a pr #2032 that seems to address the issue with preview load on the server. Regardless of whether you decide to merge it or not, can you please consider adding a flag to enable/disable previews so that for self-hosted instance one can decide to enable it or not?
