Project abandoned? New mantainer? Fork?
Given that the project hasn't had a new commit in more than 2 years, the issues are increasing, and with 17 open pull requests without being reviewed or any action, this repo seems abandoned, as called by @LightkingB in https://github.com/AmolGangadhare/flutter_barcode_scanner/issues/314.
I would like to know if the package author, @AmolGangadhare, after all the work he has already done (thanks BTW!), is interested in keeping the package or if he would like to have a new maintainer.
Otherwise, it would be a good time for a fork. The fork from @GianniosApostolos alreadhttps://github.com/GianniosApostolos/flutter_barcode_scanner already have 21 commits ahead and could be a good candidate.
I would like to fix the https://github.com/AmolGangadhare/flutter_barcode_scanner/issues/277, implementing support for Linux, but before I start, I would like to know if the effort would be worth it.
Hello and thanks for taking the time to check out my fork, I have indeed made some commits to the package but they serve some very specific needs that I have for a project I am working on. There is no guarantee for how long I will keep updating the package or what things might get added / removed / changed.
