Add Progress Bar based on path tool

The Problem To Be Solved

Explore the possibilities of adding a progress "bar" which is not a bar, but is based on an SVG Path that can be drawn using a rectangle or a hexagon and octagon.

On some occasions, I use the segmented arc, but there is not enough space for the state, as the circle (or ellipse) has rounded edges that are in the way...

A rectangular progress tool would solve that.
