Implement these 2 Rare Cli tools specially designed to download from famous platform 'abyss.to' Hydrax Videos please

Hello, how are you Mr @AminBhst ? we hope your are fine :)

so I was looking for a rare anime and there are very few streaming sites in the world that offer this anime, but I ended up finding the French version of this anime in this site:

https://w5.toonanime.co/722-rahxephon-vf/episode-1-tv.html

This streaming video Seems to be Hydrax Video Embed from Famous Streaming Platform:

https://abyss.to/

I tried several extensions downloaders, download managers ... but they fail to detect and download Hydrax Video from Abyss.to,

but,

a friendly developer advised me to use these two special-working downloader tools designed specifically for downloading from abyss.to. Sadly, these 2 tools are in a CLI command-line interface, and using these two tools and configuring the different download options is complicated and difficult for me, and probably for many other users.

We hope please our beloved Brisk Download manager developed by great generous Mr @AminBhst can analyze these open-source tools and implement them in his awesome great download manager with a graphical interface to make things easier for users please : Abyss.to is used by many streaming sites, and abyss.to has a smooth bandwidth and a wealth of content so we hope these two open-source tools will be implemented on great Brisk if technically possible please. Thanks!

here the response of developer of the famous extension Stream Recorder to my request to add support of abyss.to hydrax video :

" Hi, To begin with, Stream Recorder is developed under the policy of not implementing download methods that are tailored to specific websites. So, while it's technically possible to implement it based on the Java or C# tools you recently linked, I won't do that. At this point, for various reasons, I believe that using those tools is the best option for you.

If you're absolutely set on downloading via the extension, I'd appreciate your patience. There is a simple method available, but since I have other priorities at the moment, implementation will likely be delayed.

Thank you."

Here the instructive response of FDM team to my request to add support of abyss.to :

"Hi,

Thank you very much for your thoughtful message, detailed research, and kind words about FDM — we genuinely appreciate your support and enthusiasm!

Currently, FDM does not natively support downloading from Hydrax (abyss.to) due to the following reasons: Hydrax uses dynamic, encrypted streaming with temporary tokens and complex JavaScript-driven playback, which makes reliable download integration difficult. They frequently change their backend structure to block automated tools and downloaders. The scripts you've kindly linked (from PatrickL546 and Momo707577045) were valuable, but as you've noted, many of these no longer function due to Hydrax’s updates. While FDM doesn’t yet support these platforms directly, you can check the browser dev tools (F12 > Network > Media tab) — if you can find an .m3u8 or .mp4 URL, paste it directly into FDM.

Your suggestion to support downloading from Hydrax has been noted and forwarded to our development team for consideration in future releases. We’re grateful for your support and input—it helps us shape the direction of our development roadmap.

Best Regards, FDM Team

I ask also famous Coc Coc browser to add the support of Tooanime Website which puts its videos on abyss.to, and here is the response of Coc Coc browser support:

""As for the issue with downloading from the Hydrax server, Cốc Cốc is currently working on developing and researching a solution for that. Should there be any updates on its release, we'll make an announcement on Cốc Cốc's official fanpage."

So it Seems Maybe in The Future It will be possible technically to download abyss.to Hydrax Video , and maybe heir support will be implemented in Cat Catch as External Parser Like N_M3U8DL-RE, I noticed also that the internal Downloader de Coc Coc Browser integrates curl Tool:

https://curl.se/ "

another developer of an extension that I contacted answered me this response :

"Sadly they seem to use a proprietary method and I couldn't figure out how to integrate it with the downloader yet......"

other developer response me :

""Hi,

The site you indicated is not accessible from my country, and for legal reasons, I have decided that I should not investigate it.

On the other hand, I have no problem investigating the “abyss.to” site. My little research, but the video delivery format for this site is not HLS. Static files are played back in a less common way. Therefore, the Stream Recorder cannot record, and since it is a static file, it cannot be captured. Normally this static file is easy to download, but it is not that easy on this site.

That is all I can tell you. I apologize for not being able to help you."

Update :

here the new response of developer of Media-downloader-unleashed:

"My add-on already does that, by looking at the requests made by the browser and then listing them. abyss.to does video loading in a non standard way, they don't load m3u8 or mp4 files but they load an HTML file with minified and obfuscated javascript which handles loading the segments of the video.

Since it's just for 1 platform I think I won't be able to add it, because even if I spend time and energy managing to reverse engineer the code, I won't be able to keep it updated if they change it so using dedicated downloaders is better.

If you want, you can uncheck both detection method boxes and look for a request called "watch" and copy its URL (or just get it using the devtools) and paste it in the downloader tool I sent you earlier.

If that still doesn't work thrn you should open an issue on the page of that project instead!

I just don't want to play whack-a-mole with developers of many websites who implement playback methods in their own way while my add-on is made to work with as many websites as possible.

If you have a code snippet of the solution they implemented then I can try to do it as well but no guarantees."

Update:

Hi Mr. Aminebhst, when we say anime, we automatically say hydrax videos from abyss.to that resist censorship and without nasty ads. Brisk can consolidate its position as the number one download manager and definitively crush its competitors who don't support hydrax videos.

I read the contents of AbyssVideoDownloader's TODOs:

Add a graphical user interface (GUI) for easier interaction or maybe an Android app https://github.com/abdlhay/AbyssVideoDownloader?tab=readme-ov-file#todos

So here's my new suggestion please, Mr. @AminBhst:

  • Make a classic traditional soft version of Brisk

and

  • Make a second heavy version and the user must install the Java Development Kit (JDK 21) and this special version of Brisk will support hydrax videos from abyss.to. Thanks!
