Brackets auto-close is not working

autocomplete for brackets / quotes, etc is not working. Works fine for example with .java files, but it is disabled for *.robot files. It is not possible to edit "Recognizes File Types", I am suspecting the issue is there Screenshot 2020-12-16 at 08 53 29 Screenshot 2020-12-16 at 08 52 53
