Visited monastery breaks Gorn's quest

Describe the bug

Visiting the monastery in act 2, after becoming a bandit and clearing the caves and inner court, seems to break Gorn's quest there later. While on the focus hunt, Gorn will show up, party up and suggest to search the caves below. He will also congratulate the player for opening the gate. Trying to now cross the log bridge with Gorn will lead to him thinking that the player has no further intent to pursue the quest, perhaps due to his inability to follow over it. Gorn will walk up to the open gate and when met there, he will stop his path and assume the gate is still closed. Alternatively, he will wander on inside. In either case, he offers no more dialogue and his search quest cannot be continued.

Expected behavior

Gorn should lead me to the cave in the gorge first, be it cleared or not, or shouldn't suggest going there at all. Gorn should be able to cross the bridge without abandoning the player. Gorn shouldn't stop by the open gate, he should also properly resume the quest when met again at any point near the monastery.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Go to the ocean side monastery, clear the cave below for the shapeshifting scroll. Back up and clear the entrance, shapeshift into meat bug to enter the walls next to the closed gate and open it.

The dialogs and routine changes of the focus quest are quite entangled. It's not unlikely that it could break.

We will take a closer look soon and try to replicate this scenario reliably.

Seems that when approached again with the pocketed focus, he notices that the hero found it and the juvenile troll spawns. Let me know if you'd like a recording or savegame.
