EmulationStation

Android support (what are the chances?)
RetroArch is available on android and I'm only asking because I love what EmulationStation has grown in to.
I know own an Android TV Box (Tronsmart R28) and would love to be able to use EmulatonStation on that device too!
I should work on Android since it works on the RaspberryPi, someone would just need to create an APK for it.
So what's the process here? Compile all of the dependencies in Java then try to link them and build an APK? I've never tried building anything for Android, but I'm willing to throw some time at it to have this on my Nexus Player / Fire TV.
👍 on this. I could help testing in a Amazon Fire TV too if it helps.
Is there still any chance of this happenning? Android's Gamesome is cool, and Retroarch works very well on Android (especially since last update with touch controls for the menu) but EmulationStation is a whole new level. However, it looks abandoned since 2015 :( Hell, I would pay for EmulationStation on Android. Maybe a kickstarter or something like that?
It might sound stupid, but ES should actually be part of Retroarch project. It's way better than "normal" Retroarch.
Would love to see ES on Android too but sadly with no commits since 2015 I’m not holding my breath.
