Image disappears after switching tabs in Safari for Mac

On Safari for Mac (can't repro in Firefox or Chrome), the main image disappears once you switch to another tab and then switch back, leaving only the animated reflection.

5.1.5 (7534.55.3) on Lion (10.7.3)

I can reproduce consistently...

Then I switch to this tab and switch back.

Other things I can think of:

  • I don't have any other JavaScript running on the page.
  • Original image isn't removed, it affects the canvas image--so it may be a Safari canvas implementation bug.

OK, I got around it by setting the same image as a background image on the container.
