Dear @AlienCowEatCake , ACEC-Image-Viewer performs flawlessly when viewing images, but setting it as the default image viewer causes noticeable delays when launching with images present. After downloading the latest version and testing two folders containing 1182 images each, The folder containing uniformly sized 800x600 thumbnails launched normally. However, folders with large-sized images (minimum 1080p, maximum 4K, 3-20MB) still exhibited noticeable startup delays during loading. Similarly, QView (https://github.com/jurplel/qView), also built on the Qt framework, experiences startup delays. Upon comparison, I discovered QView offers a file list preloading setting. Disabling this preloading feature significantly improves image loading speed. Implementing this setting in ACEC-Image-Viewer would greatly enhance startup performance when loading folders containing thousands of high-resolution images. look forward to your consideration of this suggestion!
