Latest Tapo firmware have changed auth method. You can check other issues. And issues of Home Assistant Tapo integration. My personal cameras still fine.
You can ask author of this changes. I don't have Tapo hubs.
I have never seen this practice in golang. Usually closing the body is enough.

A lot of cloud errors 504 (timeout). I think you have temporary problems with WiFi. If earlier all was fine for you.

It's great that you found the solution yourself. I assumed this converter might work, but I don't have the device to test it myself.
Have you tried with single camera? I don't know why you have progressive launch time. Maybe it's just a coincidence. There may be a heavy load on the network. Also...
