Cava Module is causing waybar to segfault when monitors get unplugged.
What was said in the title. I noticed that when I unplugged monitors from my laptop that waybar would segfault, and after doing some research, I noticed an older issue about Cava causing this, so I removed Cava from my waybar and suddenly it isn't crashing anymore.
Hi @techyporcupine , can you please update waybar. Make sure it is used libcava-0.10.3 and check again. Please let me know about results here. Thanks
Hi @techyporcupine , have you had a chance to check ?
Oh, I'm so sorry I was busy at the time and totally forgot. I'll try it when I get home later!
How do I change the cava version used? I'm using the latest version of the Nix flake provided from this repo, but its on 0.10.2
Hey guys, have same issue, any solution? I'm on arch tried building from source, git version of package, and just waybar-cava. Waybar crushes only when hdmi output config has cava module if you configure only on eDP-1 it won't crush.

I built from latest on void-linux (using 0.10.3 of libcava according to meson) and I'm using Hyprland. I still experience segfaults with the cava module.
Experiencing this on Arch with Hyprland on waybar-cava 0.12.0-1 and libcava 0.10.3-3
CR, https://github.com/Alexays/Waybar/issues/4108#issuecomment-3009212265, sway on arch on vulkan.
Upgrading libcava seemed to brick an older compilation cache of waybar-cava packages. As such, it's best to delete all waybar package cache and reinstall - fixed it for me when I purged my package manager cache.
