There is overall pause in opening some windows, particularly in a heavy multitasking desktop.

If you could tweak that, it would be great.

You can notice many system accesses in a monitoring app called "Process Monitor" by SysInternals. Good app to find application latency/resource hogging.

Using the latest revision, at first it seems fine, everything is uninterrupted. But after about an hour or so, apps open sluggishly until i turn off SSM.

Sorry for the late response. Try to use SmartContextMenu instead of SSM. Default hotkeys “Ctrl + Right Mouse Button”. In some OS there can be a few seconds delay after the start of SmartContextMenu from time to time.
