[All The Magic: Spellbound][Multiplayer] Server + client freeze (watching server) [Ice And Fire 2.1.9]
Underground dragons seem to cause server to hang in a death freeze, taking the client (who was in a cave at the moment) with it somehow. Other clients connected are fine, but server dies regardless, and the current save is rolled back, since the process ended abruptly.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Must be on the server. I'm not sure if it happens in singleplayer.
- Find an underground dragon (ice dragons are most common to cause this issue i think, lightning dragons do not cause it at all)
- Fight. It does not happen consistently, sometimes it hangs, sometimes not. Dragon griefing is enabled.
- If your process seemed to hang - profit.
Expected behavior sure dragons are buffed in ATM series, but not to the extent of destroying servers ok

I think I may be experiencing the same issue, ours is a custom pack. I am noticing whenever we try to respawn in an area where there is an ice dragon cave the I am getting hit with warnings in log that the cave is taking too long to load as per below and then eventually the server crashes due to a thread taking too long.

I strangely don't have this problem in my logs, try to install AI Reducer maybe it will solve your problem. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ai-reducer
Please check your config files for ice and fire and confirm that the Intelligent Dragon Pathfinding is set to false as this is often times the cause of most server related crashes. Also please forward this issue to the modpack maker as this issue isn't reproducable with just ice and fire installed. Furthermore, please provide a log file.

Please try using the latest alpha release found here. https://github.com/Alex-the-666/Ice_and_Fire/releases/tag/2.1.10-alpha2 It has several bug fixes and improvements. Based on my tests on the new alpha release, the dragon roosts and dens no longer cause issues with world generation even when paired with modded terrain generators.
