Myrmex Soldier becomes pupa and forgets player that hatched it on logoff [2.1.9]

Open Dead3nden opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug In creative mode, when I hatch a myrmex soldier and log off, it reverts to pupal form if it's already grown up, and forget the player that hatched it. When it grows up a second time, it starts killing everything in sight. Upon subsequent log offs, it retains its adult form, but still does not remember its hatching player.

If this isn't a bug, then if you put a myrmex soldier you've hatched on a lead during its pupal stage, or do any of the other random things I did with it, it won't attack things once it grows up.

To Reproduce (There are probably more ways to reproduce this, but it's happened twice after I followed these steps. Most of these steps are probably irrelevant and overly specific, but one may not be?)

  1. Hatch a myrmex soldier underground in a cave system.
  2. Use lead to drag myrmex soldier pupa out of area it was hatched in.
  3. Drag myrmex soldier through a lake.
  4. Fly, drag myrmex soldier up with you, and land it on flat surface.
  5. Put myrmex soldier in room with access to sunlight (this is probably only an issue with queens, but I thought I'd include it anyway.)
  6. Attach myrmex soldier's lead to fence post in room.
  7. Leave but stay very nearby, return later to detach myrmex soldier from lead before it's fully grown.
  8. When myrmex soldier is fully grown, spawn a random neutral mob near it. The myrmex soldier will not attack it.
  9. Log off, then log back in.
  10. Myrmex soldier has reverted into pupal stage.
  11. Wait for myrmex soldier to grow up again.
  12. Watch myrmex soldier kill the neutral mob.

Expected behavior Myrmex soldier retains growth stage upon logoff, remembers not to murder things.
