EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
the game crashes on startup when I install the mod. I literally just have the mod, i'm on 1.20.1, and it's doing the same thing on every compatible forge version. the game starts up for a second, and then just closes and gives me error code 1. I don't even have optifine or anything.
having the same issue, only things in the pack are citadel and alex's caves.
you're lucky you even have a crash report, it doesn't even give me that

something is wrong with your lwjgl instillation
ok nvm guys i think i solved it, its because my installation had non text/punctuation characters (eg unicode fire emojis)
mine's just called test so it wouldn't be that same problem as HiGuys i don't think
probably the problem is just you don't hace installed Citadel. Its a requirement to run it! you can also try to reinstall java if that not works

do you have an amd gpu? my gpu is an rtx 3080ti I don't think I have any amd drivers
I'm having the same issue, although i dont have amd drivers in the first place, only nvidia, and i do have citadel installed
after the new update i only get error code 1 whenever I launch the game without cidatel. I'm now actually able to get into the main menu, and create a world. however whenever I load into a world (with cidatel installed) I get this. alexcave.txt ...is alex's caves conflicting with its own dependency? (this happened on both forge-47.1.30 and forge-47.2.1)

Having the same issue. I'll send the notes here and please respond rapidly as I really want to play the mod with my friends. I only have Alex's Caves and citadel downloaded. I repaired everything reinstalled java, and even Minecraft but i keep getting the same error code.

So how do I fix the problem with my AMD drivers? and how do I even access them?
If anyone's having this problem, update your AMD drivers, you can find the program needed on their website
I got the same error and only with alexs caves, now I have the latest java installed, updated my drivers and have citadel. (Alexs mobs and ice and fire works so I suppose citadel version is good). Now I don't have AMD but nvidia GeForce.
Also I don't have a crash report because it doesn't give me one (Error:1)
