Would be cool if the loading screen would also show the used / total RAM

It already can - for example using the loading scren "sample/scrolling_detailed" will show something like this:

However the only way to configure this (at the moment) is by changing the loading screen that is loaded. (Adding a config option and exposing that to any loading screen config seems like a good idea though).
