Option to incorporate post title into filename
Hello,
Would you consider adding an option to incorporate post title(s) into the saved filename?
I've noticed (from -help) that this is only currently possible when you are specifying folder names (for example: %PostId%, %PublishedAt%, %PostTitle%) for when the "--use-sub-directories" option is used.
P.S. Is there a way to donate for all your wonderful work so far?
The filename is being used for various internal checks, so in order to implement this I will need to check if this doesn't break those checks.
P.S. Is there a way to donate for all your wonderful work so far?
Due to circumstances outside of my control I am pretty limited in how I can receive the money right now. You can email me the amount you are willing to donate and the country you are located in to [email protected] and I will be able to provide you possible options.
Seconding a request for this, with a bit more on why: I used this for a creator that posts their stories solely on Patreon, and they don't use tags so it is a pain trying to navigate their stories. They don't include downloadable versions so no files with the chapter/story names to pull. The title is also not repeated in the description so the files don't have the story name, though even if they did, opening a file that just has post ID would not be a great way to figure out what goes with what story.
The sub directory option, using post title, makes things usable, but having to go in and out of folders to open the next chapter is still clunky compared to having the files all together, with the StoryName-ChapterNumber (as the post titles are formatted) would be.
If setting post title as the beginning of the filename (maybe with the postID still on the end of the file for the internal checks) has proven problematic, would it be possible to make the description files inside the sub-directories keep the post ID the way they do without sub-directories, that would at least let me more easily throw them all in a single folder, since the post IDs will always be chronological/match the order of the chapters.
Regardless, I will reiterate icedstick's praise for this wonderful tool. Thank you for making this downloader
